meet the creative

Welcome! I’m Jenna - the jill of many creative trades and the unruly-haired woman behind WildhART Creative, the umbrella studio name for my artistic endeavors.

Whether I’m in nature photographer mode, portrait photographer mode, muralist mode, or fine artist mode, certain elements hold constant through it all: imagining, exploring, making, experimenting, and playing creatively make me come alive. I love sharing these passions with you, and believe we can each make our lives a work of art!

I’m consistently inspired by the communication power of art and photography. Art can transcend boundaries that often seems impossible to overcome. I’ve seen first hand how impactful art can prove: to connect with people; to connect people with each other; and to provide a platform for places, topics and stories that benefit from a creative voice. There is also something powerful in highlighting beauty, beloved things (or ones), and unique moments.

I’m honored when you choose me to help tell your story - a playful portrait session, a custom mural, fine art on your walls, special gifts to bring joy to those special to you - I don’t take for granted that these are precious pieces of your life.

My background is quite interdisciplinary and feeds the way I see the world…

Through an academic training and professional experience lens, I fall fit the labels of “environmental scientist”, “conservation biologist”, “science educator” and “public engagement with science specialist”. The natural world captured my heart from a young age and never let go. Ever since, the wild things and places have called to me. I’ve never viewed myself as a separate ‘part’ of things, but rather a very small piece of it. I’m driven to not only protect our natural world for its own innate value, but also for the fact that each and everyone of us depends on a healthy, biodiverse, and stable environment. I’ve worked on school science curriculums, taught outdoor education in multiple states, led outdoor recreation programs, served as a researcher and coordinator for large science

The storyteller in me always sought ways to tell nature’s story, or communicate science in creative ways. Connecting people to nature, to the wonder in our world and our connectness is one of my greatest passions.

More coming soon…
